Ciao Wine Bar offers a truly authentic Italian experience in a contemporary yet soulful environment in the heart of Toronto’s Yorkville District. This Italian eatery and wine bar, created by the Liberty Entertainment Group, offers traditional Italian fare in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.  While Ciao encompasses over 8,000 sq. ft. over three different levels and seats 250, the space remains warm and inviting. The lower level has been transformed into an underground “rustic cellar” with arched brick walls, vaulted ceilings and vintage viewing wine racks. The focal point of the lower level is the alabaster pizza bar.  The mezzanine level, with stone + glass walls, rustic wood finishes and butcher block table tops make Ciao ideal for a casual relaxed meal yet elegant enough for a special night out.

Luma is the newest addition to Oliver & Bonacini’s portfolio of fine dining restaurants. Located on the second level of the TIFF Bell Lightbox, this warm, inviting space was designed by the renowned architectural firm KPMB (Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg Architects).  Interiors of rich woods, leather and stone enhance dramatic floor to ceiling views of King Street West. In homage to Toronto’s diverse, cultural landscape, Executive Chef Jason Bangerter presents globally inspired Canadian cuisine, with emphasis on local, farm-to-table ingredients. The Blackberry Lounge offers a large wrap around bar and more casual seating.

O&B Canteen is a casual, all day café and “grab and go” located on the street level of TIFF Bell Lightbox. Created by restaurateurs Oliver & Bonacini, all of O&B Canteen’s offerings are made fresh from scratch, including handcrafted artisan breads by Baker David Wilson.  The menu includes a broad range of familiar dishes such as breakfast buddies, sandwiches, salads, pastas, pizzas and comfort food classics like roasted half chicken, steak frites and gnocchi. Canteen also offers great value wines and beer. Dine al fresco or enjoy cocktails on the large covered patio.

Tutti Matti

Tutti Matti (translates to" everybody is crazy" in Italian) opened in November 2002 and since then has been the singular bastion of Tuscan food in Toronto. The restaurant was awarded the prestigious Leccio d’Oro in 2009 by the Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino, previous recipients were Mario Batali and other Michelin starred restaurants. Among the standard dishes are the pappardelle, fagottini, and torta della nonna with seasonal menus providing authentic Tuscan cuisine. Chef owner Alida Solomon after graduating from George Brown worked in Montalcino for seven years then returned home with the goal to bring the traditional simple Tuscan cuisine to Toronto. The menu is partnered by an extensive selection of super Tuscan reds and many other Tuscan wines all priced extremely reasonable.
