official description

Buster Keaton, one of the screen's greatest comedians (and greatest filmmakers), made his masterpiece with the hilarious and endlessly inventive Sherlock Jr. Spurned by his fiancée after being framed for theft by a jealous rival, a cinema projectionist and would-be detective (Keaton) falls asleep on the job and dreams himself into the film playing on the screen, where he takes on the title role of the suave master sleuth whose pursuit of a stolen necklace takes him on a madcap chase around the city. Packed with Keaton's trademark breathless stuntwork and dazzling special effects, Sherlock Jr. is one of the pinnacles of silent comedy and a true American classic.
