The official soundtrack to the world’s most successful film festival is back for 2008! The Canadian Music Café returns to showcase some of Canada’s hottest artists for delegates of the Toronto International Film Festival. From September 9-11, 2008, the Canadian Music Café will usher filmmakers and music supervisors from around the world into a downtown Toronto venue, turn down the lights, raise the curtain and turn up the volume for some of Canada’s finest up-and-coming and established artists. More than a showcase, the Café is a crossroads where respected and influential taste- and decision-makers can network with artists to collaborate on the music/movie synthesis.
Guests in 2007 included: Oh Susanna, United Steel Workers of Montreal, Lily Frost, Jarvis Church, The Cansecos, Hunter Vaentine, Great Lake Swimmers, Skye Sweetnam, Jessica Rhaye, DK Ibomeka, Simon Wilcox, Die Mannequin, The Saint Alvia Cartel, Justin Rutledge and Chris Colepaugh & The Cosmic Crew.
