Tickets for the free screening of the Cadillac People's Choice Award winner will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 7:00pm on September 13 at the Elgin Theatre.
You must be in line to receive a ticket. One ticket per person only.
Cadillac People's Choice Award
Performance and Innovation. The essence of the 2008 Toronto
International Film Festival. At the world’s leading public film
festival, the audience’s demand for innovative style and exquisite
performance drives the film selection.
As a sponsor and dedicated partner of TIFF, Cadillac recognizes
the significance of audience participation and is returning as
sponsor of the Cadillac People’s Choice Award. Following ten
days and over 300 films, the Cadillac People’s Choice Award
will be presented to the highest-rated film as voted by the TIFF
audience. The winning director of this prestigious award will
receive $15,000, generously donated by Cadillac, and will be
presented with a stunning hand-crafted glass and crystal award
designed by renowned Canadian artist Jeff Goodman.
Audiences will have the chance to rank all eligible films after
each screening. In honour of the performance and innovation
celebrated at TIFF, Cadillac will also be offering the chance to
win an all-new 2008 Cadillac CTS.
The Cadillac People’s Choice Award winner will be announced at
the Intercontinental Hotel on Saturday, September 13.
In addition to the People’s Choice Award, Cadillac is the “Official
Ride of TIFF08” and will be seen across the city escorting the
stars, directors and producers to the various film galas. This will
be the inaugural event in Canada to feature the first-ever hybrid
in the Cadillac family – a 2009 Cadillac Hybrid Escalade, the
world’s first large luxury hybrid SUV.
